There will be HIV rapid testing with same
day results in the Health Center on Wednesday,
November 28th from 10AM-2PM.
Come to Lunch! Members and Allies of the API & South Asian
Community at UMD
o
The purpose is simply to get to know
other LGBTQ API/South Asian students, staff, faculty, and alumni in the UMD
campus community, and our friends and supporters.

The lunch will take place off campus
on Saturday, December 1 at 2:30pm. If you are interested,

Internships available at Where The Girls Go
o
Where The Girls Go is a local queer lady
events website experiencing major growth…including a new sweet website in the
works.
o
We are currently seeking a few interns to
help us out with event coverage, events, PHOTOGRAPHY, graphic design, marketing,
writing and business development.
o
Ideally, you're interested in events,
media and queers. Passionate about community and building it. And
sharing it. You should also be bright and fun and can commit about 5
hours per week on your respective duties.
o
We can't pay you (YET) but have lots of
perks including free event tickets and can arrange for school credit if you're
school allows it.
o

Queer Activist Coalition

The Queer Activist Coalition will be a
new political activism group for the LGBTQA community.

Union present the 8th annual Powwow on Saturday, December 8
from 10AM-6PM in the Riggs Alumni Center.

There will be Native American
food, music, and dancing. You can even bring your own drum! Don’t miss it!
The Last Closet Campaign
o This campaign will help encourage the first athletes in
US history to "come out" publicly while actively playing in any of
the top five major sports. Our goal is to establish at least one positive role
model in each sport (baseball, basketball, football, hockey and soccer). These
gay sports heroes will make a world of difference to our gay youth.
