Queer Study Time (Every Wednesday)

o Don’t forget to study! Even though the semester is just beginning you can bring your homework for some low-key study time in a relaxed environment.
Queer Luncheon (Every Thursday)

o Come bring your lunch, and your friends. We'll bring the board games, the card games, the music, and the queer space. Allies are encouraged to join us!

o TerPAC is excited to bring the fascinating Assi Azar, an LGBT filmmaker and speaker from Israel, to come speak to us and screen his movie. Mr. Azar was voted one the "Top 100 Influential Gays" by Out Magazine in 2009 and is a well-known TV personality in Israel. o Course Description: This course, open to all students, will demonstrate how different leadership models can provide frames into creating major social change and personal growth. Specific emphasis will be placed on LGBT identities and their intersections with concepts of race, class, religion, ability, and other areas of social privilege. EDCP418I is structured as a participatory, action-oriented course. Students will develop and demonstrate communication skills for engaging within and across social identities as active participants. Collaboratively, the class will create, execute, and evaluate campus-based programs to benefit the LGBTQQIA communities.

o Mihee Kim is a doctoral student at the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland. She is conducting an online news experiment, which will award $25 cash to five randomly-selected participants who complete the 15 minute experiment online.

o This study is to investigate how audiences' current opinions influence on their perception of online news about controversial issues including same sex marriage. This study will help to understand how online news about issues related to LGBT such as same sex marriage is accepted by audiences.
National Union of Jewish LGBT Students (NUJLS) Annual Conference
o February 17-19, American University, Washington DC
o Join NUJLS for our annual conference this spring at American University in Washington DC. Come together to celebrate both queer and Jewish identities, make new friends and participate in engaging workshops surrounding advocacy and leadership.
o Since 1997, NUJLS has hosted an annual conference brining together Jewish LGBT students for a weekend filled of fun, friendship and learning. Over 1000 alumni call NUJLS a second family. NUJLS welcomes all students, regardless of how they identify and their personal identity.
